Business Background

10-42 Woodworking was founded in 2018 by Bruce Von Haden. Bruce's father was a lifelong brick layer and carpenter and he has been intrigued in woodworking from a young age. 10-42 Woodworking originally started as a hobby for Bruce when he wanted to create a rustic flag for himself that contained the famous "Thin Blue Line" with the Bible verse "Blessed are the Peacemakers". Bruce has been in law enforcement for 30 years. He displayed the flag in his office and his colleagues really liked it and wanted one for themselves or for a loved one as a gift.

The business name "10-42 Woodworking" comes from the police code "End Tour of Duty". After Bruce Von Haden ended his tour of duty (retired) in early January of 2019, he made the business a full-time job. The beginning focus of the business was to sell police flags with the "Thin Blue Line" and Bible verse but has expanded to all divisions of first responders. As Bruce became more confident in his woodworking skills, he expanded to other areas of woodworking and makes a wide variety of products. Bruce is open to trying new things and would be pleased to make something for any occasion.

The business has added a computerized router and vinyl cutting machine to create any personalized item. We enjoy making custom items such as signs, desk name plates, and business logo items. A wide variety of home decor items and school logo items can be made; however, we cannot reproduce licensed items. Our flags will continue to be hand-engraved. We also love to make beautiful wooden cutting boards.

Feel free to contact us with your ideas. We will work with you to produce a product you will enjoy.
